Ashwem Beach
This amazing beach is akin to a spread out bed sheet and is a welcome change from the regular beaches and a favorite destination for backpackers. It lies to the north and in close proximity to the Morjim beach. The beach with its golden white sands is occasionally interrupted by inlets, estuaries or headland, which contribute to its natural beauty and idyllic ambience. This beach is a popular destination of charter tourists who come here from Calangute, Baga and Candolim for a change.
Mandrem Beach
Mandrem beach is an isolated beach located in a predominantly fishing hamlet of Mandrem, north of the Ashvem beach. The Mandrem beach has very less vegetation and vast stretches of sand. The white-bellied fish eagles that roost in the sprawling casuarinas or the occasional visitor in the form of the Olive Ridley turtle adds to its charm. A creek runs parallel to the beach which swells with water during the high tide and hence and access to the beach is facilitated by means of a bamboo bridge during the season.
