Goa's most well loved sculptor, Verodina trained in clay at the Teachers Training Center in Mumbai after graduating from the Goa College of Art.
Starting of as a potter she evolved as sculptor in her continuous search for
transforming her ‘self-realization' into forms and figures using clay.
Her works include the fisherwoman traffic island at Panjim and a four-meter high figure of the risen Christ at the Bambolim church, all iconic witnesses of her rich sculpting talent .
"There are lot of interesting techniques used abroad. We are unaware of all these new developments," explains Verodina, who is eager to learn and adapt the newer techniques of production.
With twenty-five years of experience in this field, Verodina has crossed a lot of boundaries. She has progressed from simple forms and designs to making expressive terracotta figurines.
Why you should look at Clay Play for your children:
Working with clay can develop fine motor skills while shaping and creating textures improves a child's creative skills and enhances creative thinking helping them hone their designing skills and turn conceptual ideas into reality.
Children are born with the creative instinct, to express what is uniquely theirs.Clay crafting is a great way for them to build and develop motor skills as they learn to handle different tools and crafting techniques.
The Creative Clay Workshop will have four sessions of an hour each where Verodina will take up the following clay projects:
1.An elephant as a lamp.
2.Bird's Nest serving dish.
3.A Mask as a wall hanging
4.A Plaque - wall hanging

Resource Person: Roopa Bandekar
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a system of understanding ourselves and our responses to external world. It provides simple tools and techniques that makes our inner worlds accessible to us..
TA was developed in the 1950's and ‘60s by Dr. Eric Berne and has since supported millions of people change the way they have responded to life. His efforts to provide a simple language of understanding the deep complexes of the mind make it possible to really understand our selves, our emotional needs... the blocks that stop us from living to our highest potential, address the critical voices in our heads that stop us from the joy of being and doing which constantly keep us in our repetitive cycles of boredom, frustration and stress.
The way to freedom from these chains is then to making conscious choices for living.. creating healthy options for yourself and meaningful relationships with the people around you. TA has wide applications at home, work, in parenting, in organization setups, in intimate relationships others be it at home, or in your workplace. .. and the place to begin is right here .. with you.
